«Gallo's film does one of the finest jobs I have ever seen at portraying the fine emotional line present in relationships of true love. The sensation of at once loving someone so much it hurts and hating them beyond words for the "wrongs" they have committed against you has never been so beautifully portrayed. If this is an ego play by Gallo, I would like to see him strut around more often in such fashion. The beginning was slow, this I do not dispute. But the speed and grit of the first hour is necessary to really get you to the point where only lost love can take you. The end explodes into a emotional trip of self-doubt and inner conflict. I can see how this film may not be enjoyable for those who have never been so in love it hurt, only to later find yourself alone and wondering what it was that you did wrong. So, if you have never laid it line for love and come up a loser, stay home and save your money. If you have laid it on the line 100% and lost, enjoy a fine film.»
